Overview
WHAT IS A RIG FLOOR DISPLAY?
Laversab Rig Floor Displays (RFDs) are purpose-built systems designed to withstand the rigors of hazardous and safety-critical areas. They are commonly used in applications on the oil rig, on truck panels, and in mining operations. Laversab RFDs are widely known as “best in the business”.
Laversab RFDs can be certified for Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous locations. RFDs can be configured with digitizers and customer software for specific applications, like Measurement While Drilling (MWD) surface systems. Laversab works closely with MWD manufactures to design surface systems for their kits.
We provide many options for RFDs – certification rating, display size, performance, radios, pressure transmitter interfaces, I/O – to meet specific requirements.

ZONE 1 – DRILLER’S DISPLY UNIT (DDU)
Laversab Model 3200 is a Zone-1 certified Driller’s Display Unit (DDU). This ultra-compact unit is fully sealed and ready to be used on the rig. It typically pairs with a Decoder that resides in the safe area. The Model 3200 displays critical MWD telemetry information including ToolFace, Inclination, Azimuth and more; the 3200 can also be customized to display WITS0 data. The ATEX/IECEx Zone 1 certifications make this unit suitable for both Offshore and Onshore deployment.

Laversab Zone-2 HazLoc workstations (2854/2864) have been refreshed with a modern design. Now with a smaller footprint and standard I/O ports, these rugged systems are ideal for applications on the oil rig, in vehicles, or in safety-critical environments. The units can be customized for specific requirements.
